Drop :

When we're talking about curtains the word 'drop' means the total length of the curtain from top to bottom. Your curtains hang on a pole or track either inside or outside the window reveal; that is, inside the window recess or across the front, leaving a bigger gap between window and curtains.

Width :

Curtain measurements are always written with the width first and then the length. For example, a panel that is 46″ x 54″ is 46 inches wide and 54 inches long. Don't buy your curtains just so they're big enough to cover a window.
