The correct measurement method for your curtains varies depending upon the heading type
that you choose. Please select the heading type below and this will direct you to the
appropriate measuring advice:
Note:
For eyelet curtains you will need to hang your curtains on a pole.
Rail Width
Measure the full width of the pole between, but not including, the finials and add 2.5-3
cm to the measurement for ease and overlap.
Curtain Drop
You should measure from the top of the pole to the required finished length, we will then
allow a small amount on the top of this length to account for the fabric that sits over
the top of the pole.
Drop Recommendations
For Sill Length - 1.5cm above the sill
Below Sill Length - 15-25cm below the sill
For Sill Length - 1.5cm from the floor
Pencil Pleat
Rail Width
Curtain Poles: Measure the full width of the pole between, but not
including, the finials and add 2.5-3 cm to the measurement for ease and overlap.
Curtain Tracks: You should measure from the top of the pole to the required
finished length, we will then
allow a small amount on the top of this length to account for the fabric that sits over
the top of the pole.
Curtain Drop
If being hung on a pole measure from the bottom of the curtain rings, to the required
finished length.
On a track measure from the top of the track to the required finished length.
Drop Recommendations
